Read this once and you will understand the whole system. It takes about three minutes, and the moving example below does most of the explaining.
Every other travel site makes you choose a destination and then shows you a price. This one goes the other way: you say when you can travel and what weather you want, and it finds the destination. It searches many suppliers at once, scores each price against months of history for that exact route, and puts the best answer first.
Every place carries a coconut score: our rating out of 100 for how pleasant it will actually be outside, shown as one to five Coconuts. It is the number the whole product sorts on.
It is not a temperature. That is the entire reason it is a coconut and not a number on its own — a "78" sitting next to a column of degrees gets read as 78 degrees. A coconut cannot be mistaken for one. The score blends warmth, rain, sun hours and wind, so a dry still 25°C day scores higher than a humid 34°C one, and a place can be hot and still score badly.
You set the bar yourself. At least rules a place out entirely; ideally only decides what comes first, and nothing is ever hidden for missing it. The 14-day grid colours one square per day on the same scale, so you can scan across and find the good run of days rather than trusting a single average.
The rest of this page describes the product. This shows it: one real search, from the first question to the priced result.
Real trips, found on the last scan. Same 4 sources, same ranking, same everything a live search does.
Somewhere warm, from Manchester or Edmonton, around Thu 10 Sept, for 7–10 nights, for 2 adults — and I want the weather to actually be good
Understood — filling the search in for you ✓
A live search checks every source again for today’s prices and availability — it takes about two minutes, and it counts against your daily allowance.
Finding where to go is free and unlimited for everyone, signed in or not. It reads our own forecast table and costs us nothing. Pricing a trip needs an account, because it queries every airline and hotel source live for you, and how many you get depends on your plan. Plans, prices and allowances all live on the membership page, and every one of them is read from a single definition, so they can't disagree with what the checkout charges.
